Gana porutham is the second among the ten poruthams (the Dina porutham being the first). Gana porutham considers the matching of the nature of both the boy and the girl to assure compatibility of mind, body and sensuality after marriage.
Gana porutham is differentiated into three types. These are the Deva Ganam, Manushya Ganam and Rakshasa Ganam, each of them represented by nine stars.
Based on the individual’s Janma Nakshtra the following will be their characteristics.
Deva Ganam natives are good natured, soft spoken, generous, well behaved and affectionate. Good character and good values in life
Manushya Ganam possess a character with mixed qualities. In other words they have both good as well as bad qualities in them; they have good behavior but can also display anger at times and even enmity.
Rakshasa Ganam come those people who possess an outright bad behaviour; both in their speech and their actions. Rude, aggressive and rough to all; difficult to cooperate with them and think they are always in the right & high ego. Very rarely are they found to behave well with others.

Then one day, I stumbled upon a Book (Fundamentals of Indian Astrology by Kannan). I was completely glued to the book and completed understanding the book within 2 weeks. I then started visiting Prominent Astrologers in Singapore & India (while i was there) and realized they were able to make accurate predictions about my life. Surprisingly, a few astrologers even predicted I will start reading horoscopes in the future. In retrospect, it is true.
I then started reading books and articles on Astrology and eventually completed a certification in Astrology from Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi. I still do attend Distance Education courses whenever any renowned Institutions conduct Astrology Courses.
Currently, I practice Astrology to spread the awareness that our Indian Forefathers have passed down to us and also aid people from various walks of life through Astrology.
