Dear Family and Friends, I would like to thank all of you for sharing my website on Astrology and my post. I have received a good response and I am really grateful to all of you. My desire is to spread the awareness for Indian Astrology in Singapore.


I also would like to share a very important message today. My website was actually created sometime back. But I intentionally posted it on 27th August. Why was this date chosen ? Well in Indian Astrology there is a concept known as Subha Muhurtha.
It is a method in election of Auspicious Time and Date. Alot of people choose wedding dates or dates for auspicious activities based on whether it is good day based on Panchangam. Panchangam is known as the 5 limbs of an Almanac (Thithi, Karanam, Yogam, Naal & Nakshatra). As long as these 5 factors are good, for a particular day, they are recommended to carry out auspicious activities.
But this isnt the enough. There are many other factors to choose an auspicious date. We need to check whether it is Chandrastama, what is the Taarabalam, Chandra Balam, Thiyachiyam and many other factors.
Most Importantly, is the date auspicious for you. This is mainly selected based on one’s Nakshatra. So it isnt very easy to select the a date.
There is a very good book on Muhurtha (Image posted) written by K.K. Joshi. While I was in Delhi BVB, I was blessed to have been taught under him a session on Muhurtha.
Based on his book and other Muhurtha Methods, Mr EK Dhilip (my Guru in Astrology) prepares a yearly diary for selection of Muhurtha Dates for each individual Nakshatra. (I have posted the image). I belong to Ashleasha(Ayilyam Nakshatra) and therefore 27th Aug was Selected.
But ofcourse, the timing must be converted to local SG time as the diary is written based on Indian Timing. There are other parameters to be checked before concluding if it is auspicious for SG standard time.

Surprisingly, a few astrologers even predicted I will start reading horoscopes in the future. In retrospect, it is true. I then started reading books and articles on Astrology and eventually completed a certification in Astrology from Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi. I still do attend Distance Education courses whenever any renowned Institutions conduct Astrology Courses. Currently, I practice Astrology to spread the awareness that our Indian Forefathers have passed down to us and also aid people from various walks of life through Astrology. With this knowledge, one will be able to preempt the future and thereby take necessary actions to be cautious during adversities and be a risk taker during fortunate periods.
